A: I think it is worth building solar, wind, and biomass energy plants. They are
good for global warming. Thus, we should build more of them. On the other hand,
I am opposed to reducing consumption. What are we going to do with the people
who lose jobs? Therefore, we must continue buying goods and services.
Answer
B: So-called green energy sources will not reduce greenhouse gases in the air.
First, they release a large amount of greenhouse gasses when they are built. Second,
they often burn fossil fuel or trees because they cannot generate electricity
constantly. As climate change has crossed the point of no return, to mitigate
the impact, drastic measures like reducing consumption must be taken.
