Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Technology has made the world a better place to live. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

次の発言に賛成ですか反対ですか？（科学）技術は世界を住みやすい場所にしてきた。具体的な理由や例を使用して自分の意見を支持して下さい。

 

☆Let’s Think

1. The statement of the tense of the  writing topic is present perfect, so it is about the time span from the past till now. Comparing the past, when there was not much technology, and present, when there is plenty of it, would help answer the question. Also, considering the range of the word “world” might bring some insight. The world means not only the world where humans live in but also the whole world that surrounds it.

ライディングトピックの意見は自制が現在完了で、過去から現在までの時間についてだ。過去（技術があまりなかった時）と現在（技術が沢山ある時）を比べることによって問に答え易くなるだろう。また、「世界」という言葉の範囲について考えることが洞察をもたらすかもしれない。世界は人間が住む世界だけでなくそれを取り囲む世界全体も含む。

2. Technology is applied to various things from electric appliances to weapons, from water pipe construction and oil drilling to space probe (spacecraft), from games to social media.
